Black Diamond is a small community in Southeast King County, approximately 30 miles from Seattle. Founded at the turn of the century as a mining company town, the city was formally incorporated in 1959. The city features a pure, stable water supply and is actively seeking new businesses. State Route 169 connects Black Diamond to Renton in the north (18 miles) and Enumclaw in the south (8 miles).
